LIMINAL BUDAPEST is an hour-long podcast inspired by soundscape art projects worldwide.

The material was recorded in locations around Budapest – including old industrial areas, underground venues, and streets corners – as part of the audio and sound art workshop program during the session in 2019. The field recording workshops were lead by Lucia Udvardyova and broadcast on Berlin’s Cashmere Radio and Budapest’s Lahmacun Radio.

Book

This book is a collection of small zines – an homage to the classic medium that typically expresses one artist or one idea in a short burst. Each artist created their own mini-zine using a combination of image, text and printmaking an an extension of their individual works, much of the work done during risograph and silkscreen print workshops with Vulkán and Hurrikán Press. The book was curated and edited by BARTR group and residents. Special thanks to Emilie Syme-Lamont, Caitlin Hespe, and Balázs Sipos.

The BARTR 2019 book is (with necessarily reduced quality, and an ad banner, with apologies) or downloadable in its entirety here.

We also have a few remaining hardcopies. You can get one from us, at cost (30EUR) plus shipping. Just get in touch.
